Over the last few months, we have been having talks with RAFT, a reconstructive
plastic surgery research charity based at Mount Vernon Hospital which
is devoted to advancing the care of patients with damage, or potential
damage, to their skin. Their research focuses on repairing burn and
other skin injuries through the development of artificial skin, reducing
or eliminating scarring and skin cancer prevention.
As a result of these discussions the two charities have agreed to work
in collaboration and this will enhance our ability to carry out high
quality work by sharing of expertise and scientific resources, bringing
direct benefit to patients.
The Foundation relies entirely on charitable giving
to continue its life-changing work. Contribute
